pbnjsandwiches: Hi Tom. Why was a years old, Art Adams homage to a Michael Golden piece, used for an Uncanny X-Men 600 variant cover? Can you talk about the approval process that sees that image printed, instead of commissioning an original piece of work from Adams himself? I mean, you would think Uncanny X-Men 600 would be enough of a milestone to warrant it, right?

Because it’s a great piece that has never been used as a cover, and because it’s done, so using it is easy and a win-win for everybody involved.
wow think of all the art they could just re-use with this logic. Kris Anka and Kevin Wada have tons of years old ‘cover-ready’ art… I mean, I’ve already seen them, but they’ll look better with logos slapped on top.

Because ‘good enough’ is good enough, evidently.
